Dental fillings

Until recently, dentists filled and sealed cavities exclusively using amalgam (silver and mercury). Unfortunately, these fillings (or restorations) can weaken teeth because a large amount of the original tooth is often removed.

Modern dentistry has increasingly turned to composite fillings as a strong, safe and more natural looking alternative. Composite fillings utilize a soft tooth-colored resin based material that hardens into a strong attractive material. This procedure is done in 1 office appointment.
